St Agnes Juveniles

Where young Aggies begin.

Fun, friendship, belonging and Gaelic games from Fundamentals through to U16. We welcome boys and girls of all abilities into a club where every child can learn, improve and feel part of something.

For Parents

Everything you need to know in one place.

Our juvenile section is at the heart of St Agnes GAC. We want parents to know who we are, what we teach, where we train, who looks after your children and how your child can become part of the Aggies.

Our Mantra

Every child welcomed. Every child encouraged. Every child an Aggie.

We measure success by more than results. We want young people to enjoy Gaelic games, build confidence, make friendships, respect teammates and opponents, and grow up proud to represent St Agnes.

Player Pathway

From Fundamentals to U16.

Our pathway gives boys and girls a clear journey through the club, with age-appropriate coaching and plenty of opportunities to play both Gaelic football and hurling or camogie.

Starting out

Fundamentals

Movement, coordination, fun and a first introduction to Gaelic games in a friendly environment.

Early years

U6 & U8

Small-sided games, basic skills, teamwork and confidence for both boys and girls.

Growing skills

U10 & U12

Developing technique, decision-making and game awareness across football and hurling/camogie.

Player development

U14

More structured coaching, competition, physical development and strong team identity.

Next step

U16

Preparing players for minor and adult Gaelic games while keeping enjoyment and belonging at the centre.

Girls pathway

Girls from Fundamentals to U16

A growing and valued pathway for girls with opportunities in Gaelic football and camogie.

Juvenile Fixtures

What is on this week.

Training for our Fundamentals through to U10s resumes on Friday nights from 4th September. We’re looking forward to welcoming all our children back — and new players are always welcome to come along and join in! See you at Woodlands 4G pitch, 6–7pm.

Our Coaches

People parents can know and trust.

Our coaches are volunteers who give their time to help young players enjoy the game and develop. This page is now ready for us to add each coaching team, their photograph and the age group they support.

Training & Development

More than a weekly training session.

Where we train

Training locations, nights and times for every juvenile age group will be kept here so parents always know where to go.

Football, hurling & camogie

We want children to experience the full range of Gaelic games and to build transferable skills across codes.

Coaching days

Skills days, camps, guest coaching sessions and development events give players something different to enjoy throughout the year.

First aid & safeguarding

We promote a safe environment and support appropriate first-aid, safeguarding and coach-development training across the juvenile section.

Get-togethers

Team days, family events and social activities help children and parents feel part of the wider St Agnes community.

Irish language

We are proud of the culture behind our games and want to encourage Irish language and identity naturally through club life.

Standards

How we look after our young players.

Our approach is built around respect, inclusion, safety and development. We want children to enjoy coming to training and parents to feel confident in the environment around them.

Code of practice

Respect coaches, teammates, officials, opponents and families. Encourage positively and put child welfare first.

Positive coaching

Teach, encourage and challenge players without losing sight of enjoyment and confidence.

Player welfare

Safe coaching environments, appropriate supervision and clear communication with parents are central to our juvenile section.

Everyone belongs

New players, returning players and complete beginners are welcome. A child does not need previous Gaelic games experience to join us.

Why St Agnes?

Come down and become part of the Aggies.

St Agnes is a community club. Children come to play, but families stay because of friendships, volunteers, shared pride and the feeling of belonging to something local. We want our juvenile section to be a place where young people make memories and where parents feel welcome too.
