About The Club
A GAA club built by people...
St Agnes GAC is a proud west Belfast club which began life in 1951 and has served the gaels of Andersonstown for 75 years now. We look forward to driving our club forward for the next 75 years!
Who We Are
Proud, welcoming and driven by community.
St Agnes GAC brings people together through Gaelic games. We are a club for young players taking their first steps, senior players representing the jersey, parents supporting from the sideline, volunteers giving their time and former members who still feel connected to the club.
We believe in hard work, respect, friendship and belonging. Every team, every family and every volunteer helps shape who we are.
Our Values
One club for everyone.
Pride
We are proud of our club, our people and our Belfast roots.
Family
We welcome parents, children and supporters into the life of the club.
Development
We help players grow in confidence, skill and character.
Community
We support each other on and off the pitch.
The Future of Our Club
South Link — building the next chapter of St Agnes GAC.
As St Agnes celebrates 75 years in Andersonstown, our history is not only about looking back. It is also about creating something lasting for the generations who will follow us.
In January 2025 the club publicly launched ambitious plans to transform the disused South Link Playing Fields into a vibrant sporting and community hub. The vision is to bring neglected land back into meaningful use and create a home that can serve our players, families and the wider Andersonstown community for decades to come.
A Home for Gaelic Games
A high-quality playing pitch and improved facilities will give our footballers, hurlers and camógs a place to train, play and develop — from our youngest juveniles through to adult level.
A Community Hub
The ambition goes beyond the playing field. South Link can become a welcoming place for local people to meet, learn, exercise and connect, with community use at the heart of the development.
Culture & Heritage
Our future remains rooted in who we are. The development will help St Agnes promote Irish culture, heritage and language while also welcoming and celebrating the many backgrounds that make up our community today.
The long-term vision includes modern club facilities and a multi-use community space alongside the playing area, creating somewhere people of all ages can enjoy sport, learn and spend time together. It is an ambitious project, but it reflects the same community spirit and volunteer effort that has carried St Agnes from 1951 to our 75th anniversary in 2026.
Our first 75 years built the club. South Link is about the next 75.
The South Link development was publicly launched in January 2025 as part of St Agnes GAC's 75th anniversary plans.
