Well folks I've been asked to see if anyone is interested in doing a cycle challenge for charity. Don't worry though it's indoor on a gym bike and you will only have to do 30 mins. No fundraising is required, your effort will be getting rewarded by the generous shoppers at forestside!! It's on Saturday 10th September and the event will be on from 9am to 9pm, so there's a time to suit everyone. Obviously we'll still be in championship so the training will do you good and your worse half's could even do the shopping while your there, win win! It's in aid of world suicide day and your efforts will aid Pips Programmes who do really worthwhile work throughout Belfast. Any interested parties can say to me at training, if you can catch me that is, or contact Jennifer at Pips on 02890 805850 or email

Moonlight in Mayo

it was just a year ago today I left old Erinís Isle
my heart was throbbin in the soft light of my colleenís smile
in all my dreams I seem to hearher sweet voice soft and low
I know sheís waiting where we said goodbye in old Mayo

for two irish eyes are shining
and an Irish heart is pining
and when I kissed her and caressed her
in the gloaming long ago
loving Irish arms will press me
and true Irish love caress me
and sweet Irish lips will bless me
when itís Moonlight in Mayo

her Irish eyes like beacons shine all in the darkest night
I know the sweet love beams below will always fill the world with light
the roses of her cheeks will lend enchantment to the sea
and when shamrocks wear the dew Iíll wed my sweet colleen

On behalf of the Senior Footballers I would like to wish the Minors best of luck for their game tonight. Fantastic to see the club fielding a team at this level again and a credit to all of the club members involved in their development. Hopefully you will all get a chance to play on the same team as myself one day - however you had better hurry as unlike Slim, my best days are behind me!

Aggies Abu.
