As with everyone else, I was shocked and saddenned to learn of the passing of Micky McClean. Micky went through life with a smile on his face and no matter your dealings with big Mick, you couldn't help but smile back. As I type I remember his point from under the stands in Casement Park against McDermotts last year - an outrageous effort preceded with a call of "dont shoot from there" from yours truly. What I wouldn't give to see big Mick shoot from anywhere on the park once again.

To his family I offer my heartfelt condolences and especially to our team mate, Conor, all I can say is sorry and we at the club will do whatever we can to help you through this time.

RIP Micky - an Aggies legend.

I was so shocked to hear of the death of Michael McLean.
I've known Big Mick for as long as hes been associated with St Agnes which is probably nearly 20 years.
The words true gael are much banned about but Michael was that, he typified all that was good about the GAA.
Never blessed with the athletism of his younger brother Conor, Michael made up for it in his williness and perserverance. His enthusasim for gaelic games and the St agnes club was unbounding. Over the last 10 years his name was ever present on both the senior hurling and senior football teams of the aggies. But off the field Michael was a major part of the running of the aggies as club secretary, committee member, fundraiser, coach and friend. Looking through the galleries on the website , Michaels face can be spotted at ever event and match in the last decade.

My thoughts and prayers are with Michaels Mum, Dad, brothers and sisters and in particular our fellow clubman Conor at this painful time.
He was a true gentleman and great clubman and will be sadly missed by all the aggies old and young.
It was an honour to know him.

Great to start the championship off with a win at Casement on Friday. Also great to see a few of the minors involved. It takes a full panel of 25 + to deliver success so lets make sure we see everyone at training tomorrow night.
